The Little Fish Trap Studio features a second floor Office for an estuarine and physical oceanographer with sweeping views of Puget Sound. A high-bay workshop on the ground level opens out to an all-weather work patio with fiberglass screening. The building is sheathed with a rain screen of fiber-cement panels with yellow cedar battens.
We transformed a former tile warehouse, a trapezoidal volume shaped by the Metro A-Line into a multidisciplinary studio. We introduced a 480-sf rental studio, built a loft to accommodate messier experiments, a library for study and built-in work stations for design work.
